Trail Work Experience
Assessment
Inroads evaluates each individual to assist them with developing a better understanding of who they are as a worker, as well as their strengths, interests, and areas that need attention. This process culminates in a meeting with all interested parties to discuss outcomes and goal options.
How Does It Work?
A trained employment specialist will work one-on-one with the participant at the TWE site. The purpose of Trial Work Experience is to assess an individual's abilities, capabilities, and capacity to perform in a real work setting.
Job Development & Retention
Employment Specialists match clients with employers and interests, needs, skills, and experience. Employment Specialists can work with listings of job openings that are publicly available or provided by an employer, join employer networks or associations to find out about opportunities, or rely on existing employer relationships to find out about opportunities. A goal of job development can be to build long-term employer relationships.
Job Search Skills Development: Prepares clients for employment.
Job Search Assistance and Job Placement: Support & assist clients in searching for a job.
Short Term Job Supports: The client has obtained employment & requires support for job retention.
Services are tailored & flexible to the client's preference as well as disability-related needs. Our Employment Specialists are careful to ensure clients are learning to the best of their ability how to write a resume, follow up & communicate with employers and advocate for themselves in an employment setting. Clients also learn when to disclose or not disclose their disability. We also stay involved with follow-up services on-site and/or off-site support to ensure the client’s successful employment retention.
